My name is Waylon McShane Burns, although most people call me Shane. I've recently graduated from Aiken Tech with a programming degree, and while that encompasses everything programming, which I do love, I have an unstoppable obsession with web design. I was introduced to HTML5 on my first day of college, and from then on my thirst for knoweledge on anything and everything web has spread like wild fire. I couldn't get enough then, and I still can't!

My other obsession is music! I play guitar and write music both personally and for my band Acati*. Whether I'm listening or creating, I get lost within the sonic-scapes of notes and melodies driven by rhythm. It's a release, both emotionally and physically. Creating websites gives me a very comparable feeling. Only keystrokes instead of string plucks, hexidecimals and html instead of melodies and measures, information-scapes rather than sonic ones.

Even though I'm just getting started(having four years of experience in both music and programming), I feel I could do this for the rest of my life; and I know that I will make an impact as long as I'm doing something I love!
